Shelly SavilleShelly has recently returned to the West Coast after an absence of seven years.

She has been an active member in the artistic community founding Elm City Artists Gallery in New Haven CT. She was Studio Manager and Art Education Supervisor for Basic Inquiry, a drawing studio in Vancouver Canada.

As a director of AlterNation.ca, she currently specializes in applying arts and culture into community development.

Recently her paintings and mixed media work have been shown at New Haven Paint and Clay Club/John Slade Ely House, Society of Creative Arts in Newtown CT., 621 Gallery, Railroad Square in Tallahassee FL.
She has been represented by Westville Gallery in New Haven, CT., The Working Artists Studio in New London CT., the Smith Gallery in Sacramento, CA
Of her work she says:
After years of figurative and abstract work, I have been intrigued by the wonderful immediacy of plein-air painting. Plein-air is a door through which I use color, light and texture to explore myth and imagination in my oils and mixed media.
Shelly’s work is presently exhibited at the SeaSide Gallery in La Conner, Washington and the Elm City Artists Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut.
